For my career… for my passion…

For my career…for my passion…
I’ve eaten stolen lunches, asked embarrassing questions, gotten ice, room temperature water, backed a van into a BMW on a one way street, cried, screamed, taken financial blows, and lost friends.
For my career…for my passion…
I’ve walked over 300 miles, dressed the part, then took the clothes back. I’ve “paid it forward” out of genuine concern that no one close to me would have to endure such humility. For my career…for my passion, I’ve looked deceit in the face, prayed to God while awake and sleep, written treatments on walls, took a photo of them and copied them onto a friends laptop. I’ve lied to my family about my well-being, put myself in dangerous situations, had stare downs with the man in the mirror, came UP and came DOWN only to come UP again.
I’ve been in 4 feet of snow, blizzards, rain, hail, Mexico, Japan, Africa, Europe, and back. I’ve laughed through anger, smiled at those I was disappointed in (including myself), sold equipment and bought it back… but kept my pride in tact.
For my career… for my passion…
I’ve recited acceptance speeches in the mirror, prioritized who to thank and even tossed around the idea of thanking those who helped my drive, when they intended to clamp brakes on my wheels.
I’ve done some NOT so perfect things, and I’ve done some things that possibly changed a few lives.
I’m not even half way there yet. Fast forwarding to today, “character” is the most important tool that we have. It embodies every trait that puts us ahead of the rest, and it helps us catch up when we seem to be falling behind.
For my career… for my passion…
I’ve documented every character involved in my story. ALL impact makes a positive difference when you still have WILL to strive.
God is good. That’s another truth.
