A Classic Flick: "RUDY"
Blog critics might call me corny for writing an entry on a film like “Rudy”, but it is indeed one of my guilty pleasures. Had this film been fictional, it would still be uplifting and inspirational. But the fact that it’s a true story… makes it remarkable. God is good. -TAJ

C+ Jewelry by Chris Mueller
There must be something in that Bay Area water that has everyone producing hits- without a studio. Chris Mueller of C+ Jewelry is a genius spit out by that water.  Legos are cool, but this idea was WAAAAAY… cooler. Good Job Chris. God is good. -TAJ

Profile: HEATH LEDGER
Some performances deserve to be talked about forever. Though I love Jack Nicholson’s role in just about every film that he’s graced us with his presence in, a young man / actor named Heath Ledger erased all memories of any other “Joker” prior to his jaw-dropping performance.  Honestly, compared to Heath’s “Joker”, every other one feels like the sitcom...

Questionable: LG Projector Phone
Hmmm… Is it sad that the only thing that makes this phone questionable to me is the fact that LG manufactured it first? Either way, I think I’ll wait for Motorola to come out with it. I know I know- I’m terrible. God is good. -TAJ

Ashlay Cashlay & Rihanna = MEAN Shoe Game!
Fellas, I don’t know about you but when a chick rocks these shoes with the right pair of legs… watch out! Makes a man wanna do… “Things.” God is good. “Let there be Alexander McQueen” -TAJ p.s. Don’t rush to buy your chick these shoes… they’re a pretty penny and my girl has them already. Merry Xmas Ash! Nice!

Accessorizing: INVESTIGATING KANYE.
I went Xmas shopping yesterday and THOUGHT I tore it down in the stores. I did not. Item after item with no true direction. I’m guilty. “Tearing it down” is my lingo for buying all the RIGHT items. But what makes it the right item? Would that item be the right item if you wore it naked? (I’m slightly afraid of some of your answers, yet I’m oddly smiling at the...

DREAMS INTO REALITY: CANON 5D MARK II
The photo above is just a small example of how a aspiring director can become a professional. True, as the saying goes, “It’s not the wand, its the wizard.” But the 5D Mark II is one hell of a wand- you must admit. Make movies kids…make movies. God is good. -TAJ

WatchWatch
The direction in this video was a work of art- truly.  But the editing was masterful.  No, it’s not one of my pieces.  In this case… I’m just a fan.  Here it is: CHERYL COLE ft. WILL-I-AM “3 WORDS” directed by Vincent Haycock (I searched high and low for the editor but couldn’t find any info. Sorry.) God is good. We should thank him everyday. -TAJ

So here’s the story behind this commercial.  You might want to grab some popcorn, because it’s an interesting one. I was in New York shooting a short film with Ryan Leslie and we’d just wrapped a 12 hour day.  As I’m packing up my camera equipment I get a phone call from my agent saying Usher was interested in shooting a commercial with me in New York City. So of course I...

Fine Dining: "BOTTEGA LOUIE" in LA
My producer and I passed by this place a few days ago and the look alone made me curious. So today I woke up and called Andrew (my producer) and asked him if he wanted to check it out.  He’s always down for new things and enjoys fine dining just as much as I do.  Upon our entrance to this place, I couldn’t help but think the architect that built this place frequents the Louis...

Juxtaposition: The Beauty of Grit...and Grain.
I wouldn’t say the days of gorgeous sunsets backdrops, flower beds, or the classic studio, glamour headshot is over, but the contrast of a beautiful subject and it’s harsher background has been speaking to me for a while. In my mind, this form of photography speaks to another truth- not the ONLY truth.  The photo above tells me that though beauty does exist in our world, the rougher...
